The quality of these shows have been rising up to the point some of them look a lot better than even the big screen movies. As the television boom continues through 2019 we hope to see some great new stuff as well as new seasons of already amazing shows. So let’s talk about the big guys first.
Game of Thrones - Season 8 (Series Finale)
It’’s been 8 years and we’re finally in the final season of the world-acclaimed TV show. HBO has brought to life a the fantasy world of Westeros and filled it with action, drama, and amazing visuals, mixed with the already excellent story and production quality, it’s really one heck of a ride. April, 2019.
Stranger Things - Season 3
Probably Netflix’s most popular original series, Stranger Things took the worl by surprise. A misterious story filled with great characters and nice visuals finally come back after one year without a new season. July, 2019.
Mr. Robot - Season 4
It seems that the world most famous hacker will se new light this year. Now that the protagonist Rami Malek has become an Academy Award Nominee we’ll have to wait and see if it lives up to the expectation of the already great series.
Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes
Netflix comes back for yet another season of the show that brings us an insight into the most infamous serial killers, digging into their personal archical accounts to get a better sight at who he really was-
From the producers of Sherlock we get a new adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic. To change things up, there won’t be any singing into this adaptation though, and it will be closer to its original roots on this new BBC miniseries that already started its airing in the UK.
Cilian Murphy takes back the screens as Tommy Shelby in the gangster family story, now moving to BBC1 for a change.
The Twilight Zone
Premiering in CBS’s All Access platform now, The Twilight Zones comes back to tv after some time out. The classic show promises another season of weirdness in the odd reality of The Twilight Zone.
Mindhunters - Season 2
This dark and complex drama hits Netflix once again to look into the motives of yet more killers. Coming back for a second season after season one got acclaimed by the critic in its debut.
Velvet Buzzsaw - Series premiere
Yet again Netflix gives us a new weird but awesome-looking original series. This B-movie art horror thriller looks surely promising to say the least, and the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal is the protagonist makes it worth seeing by itself, starting on February.
This space voyage sci-fi horror series is based on a novella of the same name written by no other than George R.R. Martin himself, the man behind Game of Thrones. It is made by SyFy but it will also be available in Netflix for the people in the rest of the world. Amazing looks with a promising story surely are on the shelf with this one so keep an eye out.
